Our warranty is designed to give you peace of mind, ensuring that your custom wrought iron doors, gates, and windows are protected against defects in materials and craftsmanship. Our Warranty
Lifetime Warranty: This warranty covers any factory material/workmanship defect or default on door unit from the date of door/unit installed or ship date. This warranty is transferable to one new owner within a 3-year period from date of installation.
Freedom Iron Doors’ products are handcrafted forged products and as such, are “one of a kind” which may contain slight variations in color and design from any samples and drawings presented. There may also be slight variations in the form and functionality of the product that may be different from any product inspected or viewed by the customer. Freedom Iron Doors does not consider such “variations”
to be defects, but rather natural characteristics of the product that enhance its value and define it as “one of a kind”. Such “variations” include but are not limited to hardware positioning, smoothness of edges on the ornamental iron designs, scale, and positioning of scroll work on the actual door compared to the approved drawing. Patterned glass may have “variation” due to manufacturing process. Freedom Iron Doors does not consider such “variations” to be defects or imperfections but rather “perfectly unique, one of a kind works of art and design”. Therefore, a warranty based on material/factory defect is to be confirmed and determined at the sole discretion of Freedom Iron Doors.
Glass: 5-year warranty for seal breakage of tempered, insulated material. No breakage is not covered under warranty.
Door Components: Weather stripping, door sweep, latches, flush bolts, transition pieces, are covered for a 1-year period. Material and parts only.
Finish: Freedom Iron Doors warrant factory-applied product finish to be free from defect for a period of 10 years for all standard colors except for Coal = MATTE BLACK. Matte Black and all non factory, finish colors will receive a 5-year warranty from the date of installation to the user and will repair at Freedom Iron Doors’ sole discretion.
This warranty covers PARTS only, NOT trip charge or labor. FID will issue a $75.00 trip charge and $125.00 charge. w/in a 60mile radius, if out of DFW trip charge will vary.
Limited Warranty Does Not Cover:
Any non-Freedom Iron Doors Custom Doors branded components or attachments (e.g., non-Freedom Iron Doors pull-handles or other hardware, dead-bolts, lock mechanisms, closer hardware or other miscellaneous hardware, weather- stripping, thresholds, tinting, blinds, or hooks).
Any Product that has not been paid for in full; or (c) Any failure, loss or damage due to: Improper storage, handling, installation, finishing, use, modification or maintenance; Damage caused by using non-Freedom Iron Doors recommended products (e.g., non-Freedom Iron Doors pull handles or other hardware, dead-bolts, lock mechanisms, closer hardware or other miscellaneous hardware, weather-
stripping or thresholds not suited for the Products).
Damage caused by others, or by any cause outside the control of Freedom Iron Doors including, but not limited to, accident (including accidental glass breakage), misuse, abuse, mishandling or neglect; Non- Freedom Iron Doors applied finishes, sealant or caulking.
Deficiencies in building design, construction or maintenance (including walls out of plumb); Structural settlement or movement, vibration, or excessive sunlight, extreme heat or moisture environments (including improper drainage, water leakage, condensation or frost), environments in which there are extreme temperature differences between the inside and outside surfaces of the Product, environments in which there are temperatures consistently below twenty (20) degrees Fahrenheit (i.e., thirty (30) or more days per year). Acts of God; Acts of terrorism; Acid rain, salt spray or other corrosive elements, and projects located within 2 miles of coastal water. High winds over 67MPH, tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes. Subjecting the Product to conditions outside of their design limitations.
Finish problems due to mechanical abrasions or damage; discoloration of non-visible parts.
Attempts to repair a Freedom Iron Doors Product without prior authorization.
Normal wear and tear. In addition, this Limited Warranty does not cover minor imperfections, cosmetic details, variations, or discoloration in the metal and/or finish that do not affect the Product’s structural
integrity.
NEITHER FREEDOM IRON DOORS, NOR ANY SELLER OF FREEDOM IRON DOORS PRODUCTS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (WHETHER UNDER THEORIES OF
TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, CONTRACT, WARRANTY OR OTHERWISE) WHICH MAY RESULT FROM A PRODUCT DEFECT OR MALFUNCTION.
